Partner Terms

1. Who we are

These terms are between you ("the Partner") and Bruce Lamberton, trading as United Workers Care Scotland ("UWSC"), publisher of The Banter and operator of the live data pages at banter.uwsc.uk and data.uwsc.uk. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].

2. What you are buying

A sponsor placement in one of the tiers below, for one 28-day cycle, renewable by agreement.

Prices are in pounds sterling. [VAT position: TBC before publication.]

3. Exclusivity

• Only one Corridor Anchor is sold per route. Your Anchor block is the only route-specific block on that route.
• Depot Fleet and All-Ayrshire placements are shared and rotating. They are not exclusive and do not remove a Corridor Anchor's exclusivity on its route.

4. Payment and going live

• We invoice by email. Pay by UK bank transfer (BACS or Faster Payments) using the invoice reference, in the form INV-[PARTNER]-[TIER]-[YYMM]. For example, INV-YOURBUSINESS-ANCH-2610 is a Corridor Anchor invoice for October 2026. Tier codes: LIFE (Community Lifeline), ANCH (Corridor Anchor), DEPT (Depot Fleet Partner), NETW (All-Ayrshire Network).
• Your placement stays hidden until cleared funds are received and matched to your invoice. It then runs for 28 days from the day it goes live.
• Invoices are payable within [14] days. If unpaid, we may offer your slot to another business.

5. Renewal, cancellation and refunds

• Placements do not renew automatically. We will send a renewal notice about 7 days before yours ends.
• You may cancel a renewal at any time before paying the new invoice.
• If we fail to run your placement as agreed, we will run it for the missed period or refund the affected part. Otherwise, fees for a cycle already live are non-refundable.

6. Editorial independence

• Sponsorship never influences what we report, how we report it, or when. You cannot preview, approve or veto our content.
• Sponsor blocks appear beside our reporting, never inside it, and are labelled "Sponsored".
• We may report on any transport operator, service or issue, whether or not connected to a Partner.

7. Your content

• You provide a logo and short text. You confirm you have the right to use them and that what they say is true.
• We may reject or remove content that is misleading, unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or that breaches advertising rules. If we remove it, we will tell you why and give you the chance to supply replacement content before the cycle ends.
• You allow us to display your name, logo and text for the placement and to refer to you as a UWSC partner during the cycle.

8. Privacy and data

• Our sites use no cookies and no IP logging. Clicks on your placement are counted with anonymous counters and are not linked to any individual.
• We hold your business name, contact details and payment records only for invoicing and accounting, and keep them as long as the law requires. We do not sell or share them.
• We do not provide partners with visitor-level data. We may share anonymous click totals for your placement on request.

9. No guarantees of results

We do not promise any number of views, clicks or sales. Audience figures will be published once available and may change.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any cycle is limited to the fee you paid for that cycle, and we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit losses.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms for future cycles and will tell you before any change affects you. These terms are governed by Scots law and the courts of Scotland.
